Regulation
No federal AI law. Executive Order 14365 (Dec 2025) set up a DOJ task force to challenge state AI laws. California’s SB 53 on frontier-model transparency has applied since 1 Jan 2026; Colorado replaced its AI Act with a narrower law from 1 Jan 2027.
