Anthropic files publicly for a Nasdaq listing under the ticker ANT

Anthropic, the maker of the Claude models, made its IPO registration statement (Form S-1) public on 26 October. It has applied to list its Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT. The filing does not yet set a price range or the number of shares on offer, and Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley head its list of underwriters. The Associated Press reports the shares could start trading next month.

The filing is the first official look at the company’s finances. Revenue for the six months to 30 June 2026 was $16.3 billion, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier. The net loss for the period was $80.7 billion, but $72.4 billion of that came from a rise in the recorded value of its convertible notes and similar instruments, not from day-to-day operations. Its operating loss was $693 million.

Why it matters: Anthropic is a public benefit corporation, and the filing shows control staying concentrated after a listing. A founders’ entity holds 50.1% of the voting power, and the company’s Long-Term Benefit Trust elects a majority of the board. Read the filing on the SEC’s site.
