Strategy
The Innovation Authority’s national AI programme runs a second phase of NIS 500m through 2027. In June 2026 the government approved a National AI Program with eight priorities, led by a National AI Directorate in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Regulation
No AI law: a 2023 government policy sets non-binding, OECD-aligned principles and leaves AI to sector regulators. Israel signed the Council of Europe AI Convention in 2024.
Compute
The national supercomputer, built by Nebius, went live in Jan 2026 with 1,000 Nvidia B200s. Nvidia is planning a large Kiryat Tivon campus.
