Strategy
The AI Continent Action Plan (Apr 2025) — its one-year report lists 19 AI Factories, the AI Omnibus and a Frontier AI grand challenge. The Apply AI Strategy was adopted in Oct 2025.
Regulation
AI Act bans have applied since Feb 2025 and general-purpose model duties since Aug 2025. The AI Omnibus, in force since 27 Jul 2026, delays high-risk rules to 2 Dec 2027 (stand-alone systems) and 2 Aug 2028 (systems inside products). The GPAI Code of Practice is signed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, Mistral and others.
