Best for

What it is

Canva AI is the set of AI features inside Canva: an assistant that turns a prompt into a design you can edit, plus image generation and editing tools. Because the result is a normal Canva design, you can change the text, layout and images afterwards, which is often more useful than a flat generated image.

It suits non-designers, small businesses and social media teams who need on-brand graphics, posts and presentations quickly. The free plan includes up to 20 AI uses a month. Pro is about $18 a month billed monthly, or $144 a year, and raises that allowance substantially, though uses of Canva’s most advanced generators are still limited.

Canva says it only uses personal-account content to improve its AI if your privacy settings allow it (Settings, then Privacy), and never trains on Business, Teams or Enterprise content.
