Best for

What it is

Ideogram is an image generator known for one thing most others still get wrong: readable, correctly spelled text inside images. That makes it a strong choice for posters, thumbnails, ads, social graphics and logo drafts.

The free plan gives weekly credits and allows commercial use, but your images are public; private generation needs Plus at $20 a month. In June 2026 Ideogram released its 4.0 model as open weights, so developers can also run it themselves.

Ideogram’s privacy policy says it uses your prompts to improve its products and does not describe a way to opt out, so avoid putting anything confidential into a prompt.
