Determining where AI adds real value is the top issue in Educause’s 2027 Top 10 list of priorities for university IT leaders, unveiled at its annual conference in Denver around 1 October.
AI appears three times in the list, at numbers 1, 4 and 9, covering value, governance and meeting students and staff where they are with AI. Educause said its high rank reflects urgency more than agreement, Campus Technology reported.
Why it matters: university technology leaders are shifting from adopting AI to asking whether it actually helps.
